Where to Post Conference Jobs

convention centerHave you ever wondered where people go to look for conference jobs? Maybe you have a job opening and you’re not sure of the best place to post your job. Luckily, there are sites dedicated to helping companies and prospects connect in the trade show and events industry.

You could choose to post to one or several of the world’s most popular job search engines, or you could post directly on a job board and website dedicated to conferences. Recently I connected with someone who runs a conference event job search engine which specializes in the latter.

Dedicated Conference Job Board

ConferenceJob.com offers trade show and expo job searching and posting. For $21.00 individuals and corporations may post open event positions to the conference job board for 30 days. The site is also has a conference job forum that allows event industry participants the ability to advertise their goods and services on the site for free. There you’ll find a number of helpful links to industry related websites and companies.

Posting to Multiple Job Boards Simultaneously

If you have a large number of jobs to post, or need to fill your position quickly, another great way to get a lot of exposure for your conference jobs is by posting to multiple job boards. However, that can get very expensive and is usually extremely time consuming. I recently discovered another great site that allows you to post to several of the major job boards with a single submission. That site is ZipRecruiter.com.

With ZipRecruiter you’ll pay a single monthly fee which will run you a bit more than posting to ConferenceJob.com, however it seems relatively inexpensive when comparing it to the fee you’ll pay when posting a single job to many of the popular general job boards.

Which Option is Best for You?

When determining which of these options is best for you when posting your open conference job or jobs, you’ll need consider several factors: how much you’re willing to spend to fulfill your current job openings, how quickly you need them filled, and how many jobs positions you have available.
